    Edward H. Sim Joins Centura Health As Operating Group President And St. Anthony Hospital CEO

    (CENTENNIAL, COLO.) Centura Health announces that Edward H. Sim will join the region’s leading health care system as group president of its Mountains and North Denver Operating Group and chief executive officer of St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood effective Jan. 3, 2017.

    Edward H. SimMr. Sim joins Centura Health from Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Fla., where he has served in progressively responsible senior leadership positions for 11 years. For the past five years, he has served as the president of physician integration where he was responsible for an employed physician network of 380 physicians and a clinically integrated network with more than 900 physicians. He also served as a hospital president of a $360 million community hospital and vice president of operations of a $800 million tertiary care facility. Prior to joining Baptist Health, he served in strategy, business development and operations roles with Tenet Health and as a consultant and analyst with The Advisory Board Company.

    Mr. Sim earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Boston University, a master of science degree in pathology and laboratory medicine from Albany Medical College and a master of business administration degree (with a concentration in health sector management) from Duke University.

    In addition to St. Anthony Hospital, the operating group Mr. Sim will oversee includes Avista Adventist Hospital (Louisville), Longmont United Hospital, OrthoColorado Hospital (Lakewood), St. Anthony North Health Campus (Westminster) and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center (Frisco), as well as Neighborhood Health Centers, Emergency & Urgent Care Centers, outpatient surgery centers and physician practices.
